This past weekend some friends and I were peddling our artistic wares at the annual Toronto FanExpo. Our row consisted of Brian Paquette, Carson Wong, Aaron Hatherall, Ben Tillman, Tom Twolan, Bennett Slater, Darryl Graham, and myself. Above are some photos of my work and our tables!

Switchin it up

I apologize for the lack of updates! Things have been pretty busy, but I should have some exciting stuff to post up soon! I'm also in the process of re-over-hauling my website, which upon completion will be the place to see any and all of my new work.

In the meantime, I'd like to share some things that inspire me! First of all, check out the work of Francoise Nielly. My good friend Bennett Slater turned me onto her work, and it has been blowing my mind since. As far as music is concerned, I still can't get enough of Phoenix's newest album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, or Shad K's entire catalog. That guy is my hero. Do yourselves a favour, go look and listen!

Infographics!! Grad Show!!

The Sheridan Illustration grad show is just around the corner!! Come by the Burroughs Building at 639 Queen st. west anytime after 7pm Thursday night, or anytime from 11am-9pm friday and check out all the incredible grad work (and mine!). The Grad year micro-site is also online, you can see it here.

Also, here's an info graphic I created, a map of Canadian Music (1970-2009). The idea behind it is to eventually create an interactive online archive, with everything from artist bios, to releases, timelines, touring schedules, and everything else. The beginnings of a potentially massive undertaking. I will also be preparing prints of this poster (24 x 36) in the future, for anyone interested.

Sorry for the delay in posts, it's been super busy! I spent this past weekend at the fan appreciation comic con, sharing some tables with Darryl Graham, Aaron Hatherall, and Tom Twolan. I spent the majority of the time rocking comission pieces like this batman. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us! Hopefully I will be able to find my camera and thus put up more pics from the weekend.

Grad Show!!!!!! Graffiti showcase

The end of the school year is upon us! Come check out the Sheridan Illustration Grad show on the night of the 23rd or 24th of April at the Burroughs Building, 639 Queen St. W!!

On top of that, I'll be painting a piece tomorrow afternoon at Sheridan College outside the SCAET building for a Hip-Hop festival from 2:30 on. If you're around campus, come check it out!!

Due to some unfortunate circumstances involving the loss of some corporate sponsorship, the Sheridan Illustration year end graduate art book (of which I am part of!) is in danger of not being published this year! Some of my fellow students have put together a campaign to help raise money to cover production and publication costs, and every little bit helps. Here's a t-shirt design I did recently for the band Sydney. They just wrapped up one final lap around the country before calling it quits, and had an epic last show in Hamilton. Here's to Sydney!
