Some crazy storms been brewing around here lately. Lookit them clouds! Anyway, thought I'd put up some new flicks I took. Working on getting a process/sketchbook section up on the old website. Stay tuned!
Flyer design I banged out for the upcoming Autoerotique EP release party at Mod Club. If you have two seconds, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could pop over HEREand 'like' the design on FB, as it's in a bit of a competition. Thanks!
Above you can see 3 new works I've done as part of a 3 piece print package! The pieces were rendered in acrylic and ink on heavy cold-press watercolour paper. For anyone interested in purchasing any of the prints, please shoot me an e-mail! I will have them up in a new shop section on my website soon, but until then just drop me a line.
To whom it may concern: I've gone and redone my website! You can check it out here. You can also follow me on twitter here.
I've just returned from an amazing trip to NYC with Nimit Malavia (he won silver at the Society of Illustrators annual awards in the Uncommissioned category!Way to go buddy!). Thanks to Nimit, Martin, Billy, and all the other artists and new friends who showed us a damn good time while we were there (and Courtney for feeding us all thoseamazing appetizers). If you've never been to the Society of Illustrators, I can't recommend checking it out enough when you're in the city. Pictures from the trip to come as soon as i get the film developed!
Also, expect to see some new pieces real soon. For real, promise.
Thanks to everyone who came out, commissioned artwork, picked up some prints, or just hung out and supported me this weekend at Fanexpo 2010. I'll have some pics up here over the next few days, so check back! I look forward to seeing everyone in 2011!
Come out this weekend to Fanexpo Toronto! I'll be there along with a couple homies (a lot of homies) selling some of my artwork, as well as doing a live painting over the course of the weekend! Come by and say hi!
Here's a taste of some of the prints I'll be selling.
Thanks to everyone who came out to check out the skate deck show at loose cannon! Awesome turn out. Had a blast. Will try to have some good photos of the finished piece up soon!
Come out to Loose Cannon Gallery in Hamilton this friday (Aug 13th) to see a killer gallery of custom skateboards of all shapes and sizes! There'll be pieces by Darryl Graham, Bryce Huffman, Bennett Slater, and tons of other great artists. I've posted a little sneak peek thumbnail of part of the deck I did for the show, as well as the flyer! Find more info here.
So i'm finally posting some new design work, and there will be a lot of it over the next couple days. The above pieces were done for a City of Kingston Transit green initiative. Bus shelter ads, print ads, bus panel ads, pocket schedules, brochures, as well as the logotype for the initiative itself. More to come!!
So after getting smoked by a car last night while longboarding to meet a friend downtown, I found the time to take a quick photo of this portrait of Thom Yorke of Radiohead I've been tooling around with. I seem to have come away unscathed (luckily I rolled up over his hood into the windshield like in a buddy-cop movie), and will likely have a spurt of creative energy knowing I rolled away as such and should be incredibly grateful. Also, check out the bands the Local Natives and Karen Elson! Fantastic stuff (not to mention beautiful album artwork.)
